Texas Motor Speedway
With enough permanent lighting to light up 11 NFL stadiums, the Texas Motor Speedway is an amazing place to experience events, day or night. Also living up to the “everything’s bigger in Texas” mantra is the 20,622 square foot TV screen, which was installed in 2014 and was the largest HD LED screen in the world at the time. TMS hosts events of all kinds that are truly spectacular to witness and should be at the top of the list for racing or car fans, no matter what kind you’re into.
Fort Worth Zoo
Fun for kids, adults, or both, the Fort Worth Zoo not only has incredible animals and exhibits, but also behind-the-scenes experiences (coming soon). Housing a whopping 540 species, you could spend days looking through every habitat to find every animal. For those on a more limited schedule, the zoo has an easy-to-follow layout and online map to prioritize and plan what you want to see while you’re visiting.
Sundance Square
For those who enjoy being downtown and shopping, Sundance Square is perfect for you. Not only is it an entire 36-square-block district dedicated to this, but it has 145 events each year! With food, jewelry, clothes, art, and more, Sundance Square can occupy any shopping enthusiast for hours – if not days.
Fort Worth Aviation Museum
Last but certainly not least, the Fort Worth Aviation Museum has nearly 30 types of aircraft (both planes as well as helicopters) on its property. Seeing historical, modern, and even canceled concept aircrafts next to each other truly is a sight to behold, and anyone with interests in aviation, engineering, or the armed forces (or Top Gun’s F-14 Tomcat) will love it.
